BiteFight

Somewhat nice browser based game, it's very similar to Holy War. It has the seemingly ubiquitous Vampire vs. Werewolf theme found in MMORPG games. I enjoy it, although the colors tend to strain ones eyes, but as a good portion of it is very slow paced I can flip back and forth between it and other online pursuits. A great game to play while bored at work, give BiteFight a try!

Fallen Sword

Fallen Sword is one of the best free browser-based MMORPG games I've come across. With over 10,000 active members Fallen Sword has a huge international community of gamers. The Fallen Sword universe is massive, consisting of hundreds of distinct locations, each of which is filled with unique and frightening foes.

You will be able to buy, loot, and trade almost 500 items, but choose carefully: Your success in battle will be fully dependent upon your choices of equipment. You only have space for a few items, so fill them wisely. You will earn gold through killing creatures, attacking other players, and trading in the Auction House. Plus, you can earn and use Fallen Sword Points to enable you to upgrade your character beyond mortal limits.

I highly recommend you give this game a try, it's extremely easy to sign-up: just click here. I will send everyone who signs up through the links on this page 1000 gold to help get you started.

MarcoLand: Survival Meets Destiny

MarcoLand is a fun little text-based browser RPG. It's got a pretty interesting system to it and seems to be updated quite a bit. Player base is midsized with about 100-200 players on at any given time of day. No fancy graphics or anything but it's still a very fun game to play, only requiring a few minutes a day to play.

Here's a description from the site:

Marcoland, the game

First of all this is a roleplaying game, so we expect you to create a real character, and to play with it in first person, like it was you, walking around town, making friends, fighting monsters, praying in the temple, all these actions are taken by you!

Text based?

Yeah, well, you know, all around computer's shop you find those incredible roleplaying games, with great graphics, they take all your PC resources, but they are real fun. What we think is: you can have the same fun, without installing anything on your PC, and without the great graphics. So the game is all on html pages, you go around following links, but what makes it good is the dynamic aspect of the game, it changes every day, get updates, new monsters, new players to fight, new friends, and unlimited growth.

What you have to do

Well, if you follow the link to the signup page you will be asked a username, a valid e-mail address, and a password. You will receive an e-mail with a confirmation code you have to type in the address we send you. This will be the only mail you receive from Marcoland, no other mails will follow, we don't give your email address away either!

How do I play

Well, after you confirm your account you will be able to login. After you login I suggest you take a look at you character, he/she has strength, speed, mana, HP, and many other stats. In order to fight you have to buy a weapon, so take a walk in the city, go to the blacksmith and buy one. I suggest you pray a little in the temple to increase your stats. Then why don't you train a little in the fighting area, kill the low level monsters first of course. Always keep an eye on you Mana, when it runs out you are done with fighting actions for the day (it means you are tired!), but you can still buy, walk around, chat, heal, and much more.

And that's it

Yup, that's about it for now, but I bet if you go inside you'll find much more to have fun with, and remember, the game is in constant development, and your suggestions might be implemented soon!
